Our friends over at Composition Cafe are at it again with March’s Themed Thursday event. This month they are hosting a Mardi Gras styled party to celebrate an early arrival of crawfish!

The mild fall and winter in the south means that crawfish are being harvested a month or so early this year. To us, that means we get to enjoy some tasty “mudbugs” in just a few weeks! BJ and the crew are bringing them in fresh, adding fresh clams, shrimp and veggies then boiling the whole package in a spicy Cajun style broth. And if that’s not enough they will top it off with fresh Beignets!

Craft beers and wine will be flowing all night and the bar will mix up hurricanes to cure your sweet tooth.

During dinner, Reno’s favorite jazz singer Cece Gable will be performing her originals as well as tributes to jazz legends. Grab your favorite Mardi Gras outfit and get ready to dance the night away!

Tickets are $75 plus tax and gratuity per person. With that you get all the seafood, beer and wine you can handle plus the great entertainment from Cece and her band. Call the cafe at 329-3323 to reserve your seats.

Speaking of seafood boils…. Check out this YouTube video from yours truly with an easy recipe to make your own at home.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!!!
